Kevin Didden - President, CEO and Founder

Kevin Didden has led CiDRA in his role as President and CEO since he founded the company in 1996. During this period, CiDRA raised $152 million of venture capital and sold its oil and gas measurement business unit to the Weatherford Corporation in 2001. Since this sale CiDRA has launched two other businesses. The first is CiDRA's current business of supplying flow measurement products to the industrial process industry. The second is a spin-off company named CyVera that serves the biotechnology industry with sophisticated analytical equipment.

He currently serves on the board of Directors for CiDRA and is the former Chairman of CyVera. Kevin spent a total of nine years at the the United Technologies Corporation in the field of Technology Management. Kevin received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.



Mike Grillo - Vice President, Corporate Development and General Counsel

Mike Grillo is an attorney with venture capital, corporate finance and transactional experience. Prior to joining CiDRA, Mike focused on Intellectual Property protection, technology management and licensing with a private law firm and with a fortune 100 company. He received a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a JD from the University of Connecticut School of Law.


Gary Hokunson, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
Gary Hokunson has more than 17 years experience working with emerging growth companies with a heavy focus on operating and financial processes, mergers and acquisitions, business integrations and capital structure. Gary started his career in public accounting, including several years with Price Waterhouse. After leaving Price Waterhouse, he worked for a number of private equity backed companies in the healthcare, manufacturing, and services industries. He received his B.S. degree in accounting from Quinnipiac University. He is also an associate member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.


Alan Kersey, Ph.D. – Vice President, Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions
Alan has over 25 years of experience in the development and product commercialization for the Military, Oil & Gas, Industrial, Infrastructure and Biotech applications & markets. In 1997, Alan was the founding CTO with CiDRA. In 2003, he became CEO at CyVera Corp, which was a spin-out from CiDRA. Following the acquisition of CyVera by Illumina in 2005, Alan served as Vice President and General Manager with Illumina. Alan rejoined CiDRA in 2011 to drive the company's growth through targeted acquisition of new technologies, products & services. Alan received his BS degree in Physics and Electronics from the University of Warwick and his PhD in Optical Spectroscopy from the University of Leeds.


Michael McKinney - President, CiDRA Chemical Management, Inc.
Michael McKinney serves as President of CiDRA’s Chemical Management Business Unit. Michael has 21 years of experience in the Pulp & Paper Industry. Prior to joining CiDRA Michael spent 12 years with Nalco Chemical Company in various Sales and Management roles. Michael holds a Bachelors Degree from Purdue University.



Paul Rothman - President, CiDRA Minerals Processing, Inc.

Paul Rothman serves as President of CiDRA's Minerals Processing Business Unit. Paul has 25 years of product and business development experience. Prior to joining CiDRA Paul spent 16 years with United Technologies developing flight critical control systems for the aerospace industry. Paul holds a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.



John Viega - President, CiDRA Oilsands Ltd.

John Viega serves as President of CiDRA's Oilsands Performance Services Business Unit. For the past several years, John's work has been focused on the development of long-term strategic relationships in the oilsands and heavy oil industries in Western Canada. John received a BA degree in Economics from the University of Connecticut, an M.B.A. from the University of Hartford, and has completed course work towards an M.S. in International Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. John Viega is a member of CIM, CMP, and ISA.
